Dr Vijayavel Vadiveloo, is a board-certified and a practising Gynae Oncology doctor and Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgeon at KPJ Klang, Malaysia.
There has been a lot of enthusiasm about minimally invasive surgery (MIS) in the surgical community in recent times. Some of the main reasons for this are an unmatched appeal to patients, doctors and healthcare systems alike.
The field of surgery is moving ahead at a rapid pace in the 21st century. It may be said with sufficient confidence that surgery has become safer today than ever before. Large incisions are being replaced by 'keyholes'. Tubes can be inserted from almost any opening in the body for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
1st Patient Review: Grace Arul
As with any person who has to consider surgery, I was concerned about which surgeon would be best to handle my condition. I decided to seek Dr Vijay's advice as a second opinion and I'm so glad I did! His skill and expertise was evident to me by the knowledge he shared - from the first consultation, the preparation before surgery and also in my subsequent quick and relatively painless recovery. After hearing some horror stories from others ☺️, I can confidently say he is among the best in his field in this country. Highly recommended!!

If there was a 6 stars rating, I would give Dr. Vijay 6 stars for his dedication, humbleness, patience and great work! 5 stars is just not enough. He is the best doctor to go for if you have gynaecological issues as he is highly experienced in laparoscopic procedures. He successfully removed 4 fibroids from my uterus ( this included one large fibroid which measured 13cm in diameter) via laparoscopy. Today is the third day after my surgery, and I am so happy that I finally got rid of all my fibroids after a whole 3 years of scouting for a good doctor and the best treatments available. I am recovering very well, I don't feel any pain and I only have 3 small marks on my belly. I would readily recommend Dr.Vijay to my family, friends and relatives. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Vijay ....
When might minimally invasive surgery be recommended as a treatment option?
Abnormal uterine bleeding caused by fibroids, adenomyosis and polyps can be treated surgically. Depending on the condition causing the bleeding, the bleeding severity, and the patient's fertility goals, options available include: hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), myomectomy (removal of fibroids), or polypectomy (removal of polyps). All these surgeries can be performed through minimally invasive methods in Malaysia by Dr Vijay, one of the best gynae doctor in Klang.
